Back on track after a week of crappy eats. The Warrior Dash took a lot out of me but I continued to try to hit it hard at the gym. I think my body tried to overcompensate for the lack of fuel by upping my craving for unhealthy carbs, fat and sugar.

Dinner was salad, which tasted so much better than the protein shakes I’ve been living on lately. I haven’t been going food shopping and therefore have been either eating junk or drinking protein shakes. Oy!
I think the lack of solid nutrients was making me bitchy, because my mood really altered-for the better-an hour after my salad.
Now I’m with the boyfriend, watching Rescue Me on Netflix.
Nite Fitblrs.
And if you want to see even more photos of the places I went, click here.
Once again, thanks to everyone who has been following me!! I love you all-seriously. Drop me a line, if you haven’t already. And even if you have, drop me another. I love hearing from you guys. DON’T BE SHY!!
I think I’m fighting off a cold. I’ve been feeling tired lately and generally worn out. I had my fair share of sugar earlier this month. Lots of chocolate passed my lips, and with Valentines Day? Forget about it.
Sugar kills the immune system, hence why I feel really run down.
I stayed home all day yesterday with my boyfriend and wrote. Today I hit the gym and grocery store.
3 miles of running (kept it at 5.5mph, but shot up to 6.2mph towards the last stretch).
35 minutes on elliptical
Hanging knee raises
Crunches
Arm raises
Lunges
Rotary Twist with 35 pounds
1 mile walk
* I decided to do minimal ab work today, due to the fact my stomach has been seriously bloated, which I think has to do with my over exercising the muscles.
Food:
Breakfast
Soy latte
Small blueberry and pineapple protein smoothie
Lunch
1/4 cup of Basmati rice with Shag ponir
1/4 slice of baked eggplant
Dinner
Salad made with mixed greens, avocado, raisins, and red pepper hummus.
Black sesame seed rice chips

Trainer Taylor Ryan paid my site a visit and gave a strength training workout video for easy gainers.
In other news, it is currently snowing in New York. I really hate the snow when I have things I want to do, like go to the gym. I went out for dinner and drinks last night with my boyfriend, so I really need to burn some calories. I will be hitting up my home gym pretty soon. No excuses!
Hey Lovelies!
In case you were out this weekend, here are some of the feature post and announcements you missed.
Trainer Taylor Ryan answers my most pressing weight lifting question, here.
A new kick ass playlist was created. Check it out here.

Things to Look Forward To
This week Taylor Ryan will be creating a post and plan for easy gainers (as in you gain muscle easy). She will be showing you how to get strong, defined, drop the fat, and look lean and fabulous! Bulk free.
I will also be working on trying to upload a load of videos I’ve have recorded for MONTHS on how to make certain wonderful things for your body. Let’s hope it actually works.
If you have a diet, exercise, or beauty question, please write to ask4thegurl@gmail.com and I will do my best to steer you toward an answer.
I did this with him:)
Hopefully going to complete the Insanity Program. I did the Fit Test today after coming home from the gym. Probably should have waited a bit. My legs are already getting sore, not sure if my groin is completely healed. Hope I can handle if for 60 days.

Update first!
I’ve been crazy busy since…I don’t even know. Between school and a family emergency I was MIA from my fitness routine for 2 days in a row. I got back into the grove today, taking some of my homework to read at the gym. I must have looked corny as hell reading Sister Carrie on the elliptical, but you know what? I don’t care!
Workout:
1 mile power walk with arm jabs
2.5 mile run (hit incline at some point for a break. Went up to an incline of 4.5 and walked at 4.5mph)
Crunches on abench
Leg lifts on abench
Back extensions with 10 pound weights in each hand
Side twist with 8 pound medicine ball
30 minutes on elliptical (20 minutes was on program 6, which works the glutes. 10 minutes were performed on manual.)
Rotary Twister with 25 pound weight (this was pretty easy, so I think it’s time to increase my reps or weight.)
Hanging knee raises
*Hours later I did some more toning work for my legs, butt, abs and arms.
Food:
Breakfast- Trail mix and soy latte
Lunch: No lunch today. I was in such a rush to get to class that I even forgot to grab myself some water. I guess I paid for it because later in the day I drank half a can of gingerale. I occasionally will have diet soda (yes, yes, liquid death), but I don’t remember the last time I had more than a sip of the regular stuff.
Dinner: Salad made with mixed greens, 1/4 cup of brown rice, chopped avocado, hummus, and topped with cooked broccoli and tofu with onions, (courtesy of my mom who still makes me food to take back home whenever I come to visit:)
Dessert: 2 Reeces pb cups
Hit the gym yesterday.
1.5 mile powerwalk
2 miles of running (did very well, only stopped 2 or 3 times for a breather)
.5 walk
30 minutes on elliptical
crunches on abench
leg lifts on abench
rotary twist with 25 pounds
ab isolator with 30 pounds
hanging knee raises
standing side leg lifts
donkey kicks
walking lunges
back extensions with 10 pounds in each hand
arm raises
stretching
I don’t know if I mentioned this, but I submitted my application. We’ll see how that goes. Glad it’s over. Have two papers to complete over the weekend-joy. My appetite is still MIA, although I’m feeling a bit better. Had a tofu burrito yesterday, and a veggie pot pie a few hours later. I need to start to get back into the habit of eating fresher food.
The pipe beneath my tub is broke apparently. The people downstairs are being flooded by my shower water. My landlord has asked me not to shower until the plumber fixes everything. I guess I’ll be going to my classes smelling like gym.
