My legs are so sore from Insanity. I can’t believe a 25 minute test did such a number on the cardio queen! I didn’t want to workout today, but I pushed myself anyway. I knew I’d be happy I did it, and while my bed looked inviting, I generally regret spending an entire day loafing around.
1.5 mile walk
.5 mile run at 5.4mph
.5 mile run at 5.7mph
Sprinting up to 7.2 mph then back down to 5.7mph for 3/4 of a mile
1/4 walk to cool down
I made pretty decent time, and I was feeling all “eye of the tiger” by then, so I did the following:
2 20 minute routines.
Routine #1- 15 minutes spent alternating between levels 10,12, and 17. On level 12 I hit the resistance up to 2. Made sure that I kept my strides to around 160-170 per minute.
5 minute cool down on level 3.
Routine #2- 15 minutes spent between levels 9 and 10. Made sure to pump my arms and twist my waist.
5 minute cool down on levels 3 and 5.
Still feeling quiet pumped, I set out to do toning exercises.
50 crunches on abench
50 leg lifts on abench
Pull downs with 20 pounds until I was tired of doing that.
3 sets of 10 Russian Twist with a 8 pound medicine ball, while sitting on a stability ball.
Back exercise with 8 pound weights in each hand.
Crunches on stability ball.
Side crunches on abench
Standing side leg raises
Crunches with 30 pound weight
Arm raises with 3 pound weights in each hand.
And that was about it.
