Feel like shit after a night out at the bar? Follow these tried and true tips to feel better the day after one too many.
1. Drink lots of water!
Alcohol dehydrates you! Carry a large bottle of water around and chug away.
2. Hit the gym.
Of course the idea of lifting or running sounds pretty lame when you’re hung-over, but get moving anyway. Exercise helps circulation, which can ease headaches. It will also help you burn off some of the empty calories you took in when you downed that margarita.
3. Eat a balanced meal.
Think twice before pulling into the drive-thru for a breakfast burrito. Alcohol does such a number on your body that you want to make sure you get a good dose of vitamins and minerals, protein, and healthy carbs the next day. My suggestion? Scrambled tofu on a slice of toasted Ezekiel bread, topped with 2 slices of avocado, and tomato. Feel free to add a glass of fresh squeeze juice, or puree some berries with a splash of OJ for a smoothie.
