Workouts that focus on the lower body may be something to explore. But honestly, if your back is hurting you, you need to go to a chiropractor. I run and get thrown out of alignment from time to time. Plus I have a old injury from when I took a horrendous weight lifting class. Whenever I have issues with back pain (feeling uneven) I do Pilates, which is amazing. But first things first, go to a chiropractor. He or she will be able to help your back issues and give exercise recommendations. xo
